 Hobo Casserole Ground Beef Recipe**

**Ingredients:**

* 1 lb ground beef
* 1 medium onion, diced
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
* 1/2 cup milk
* 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
* 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
* 1 can (14.5 oz) green beans, drained *(optional)*
* Salt and black pepper to taste
* 1 tsp paprika
* 1 tbsp olive oil or butter

**Instructions:**

1. **Preheat oven** to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. **Brown the beef:** In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook the ground beef with onion and garlic until the meat is browned. Drain excess grease.
3. **Mix sauce:** Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and paprika.
4. **Layer the casserole:**

* Spread half of the sliced potatoes on the bottom of the baking dish.
* Add the cooked beef mixture on top.
* Add green beans if using.
* Top with remaining potatoes.
5. **Bake covered:** Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
6. **Add cheese:** Remove foil, sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. **Rest and serve:** Let cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.

**Optional Add-ins:**

* Add sliced mushrooms or bell peppers for more flavor.
* Substitute cream of mushroom with cream of chicken soup for a different twist.
